"The aim of their expedition was to look at how local industry has changed in the area, this saw them spending time looking at old railway workings on the Tissington Trail, quarries alongside the High Peak Trail, and lead mining in Castleton.
"They were lucky with the weather and worked well as a team to overcome the difficulties that they faced, remaining cheerful throughout.
"Two members of the group, Archie Bennett and George Fleetwood, have also recently completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Awards and also gained their Platinum Chief Scout Awards.
"A huge congratulations to all Viking Explorers who have enjoyed fantastic achievements and personal challenges."
