Rabbit Run
Saturday 18th - Sunday 19th October 2025
What is Rabbit Run?
Rabbit Run is a cross between a night hike and a wide game.
Teams of Rabbits head out into the evening, trying to answer as many questions as possible while avoiding being caught by the Poachers.
After a full briefing you register your team. At this point you will receive a map and list of questions. Each question has a location and a points value. Teams have the afternoon to plan their route and work out their tactics. The idea is to score as many points as possible in the five and half hours available.
While Rabbits compete for the most points by answering questions and avoiding capture, Poachers compete by catching Rabbits to earn their points as well as answering questions.
Safety
Our game management team are known as Gamekeepers. During the game each team has a WhatsApp group set up with their Gamekeeper. They share their live location for the duration of the event so we always know where you are. Rabbit and Poacher share pictures when teams are caught, or when answering questions.
In the event that you need help, you can message your Gamekeeper. If you have an emergency you call them and they will assist you to get back on track, or be able to send people to you to help. We have first aid and incident teams available throughout the game, as well as minibuses if you need to return to site.
Camping
The event takes place over 24 hours so you will need your camping kit (tent, mat, sleeping bag, pillow, teddy etc) as well as all your warm clothing and everything you see on the kit list sent out nearer the time.
As this is a leader led residential event, each group must be covered under a NAN form submitted by a Nights Away Permit holder who will attend the event.
Catering
All food is provided under the catering option, this will include a two course evening meal on the Saturday and a cooked breakfast on the Sunday morning. Hot and cold drinks will be available throughout the event.
You will need to bring your own plate, bowl, mug and cutlery.
Outline Timings
Our event normally starts at 13:00 on the Saturday, but at some venues we need to stagger arrivals to limit the numbers of vehicles on site. We will publish this schedule for this with the welcome pack if it’s necessary.
We finish on the Sunday, again around 13:00 after presentations and prizes.
Location
Rabbit Run moves between locations, so the gameplay area is not always the same and nobody has an advantage. Each year the location is shared when booking opens and directions will be sent out within the welcome pack.
Kit
You will be camping for the night, so you’ll need all the normal camping kit; tents, sleeping bag, mat, pillows and teddy! Warm clothing, waterproofs, torches will be needed along with the items we send in the welcome pack as a requirement for teams.
Who to contact
