A joint expedition for Coldnet (Lincoln Network) and Stamford Explorers took place recently with the group successfully completing their expediton challenge for their Gold D of E and Queens Scout Award on the Norfolk Broads.
Braving cold autumnal weather the team sailed and rowed across the Norfolk Broads from Wroxham to Hickling. The team have spent the last year training for the expedition learning a wide range of skills including sailing, camp craft, safety routines, food and cooking and navigation and route planning. The team completed a practice expedition prior to their final expedition over four days where they camped and were self sufficient.
