Taking the Lead! - Volunteering Opportunities with the UK Contingent Team for the 2023 World Scout Jamboree in South Korea

World Scout Jamboree 2023 - find out about UK Contingent opportunities
The next World Scout Jamboree takes place in South Korea, in Summer 2023. The Scouts will send thousands of young people to this amazing event, and we will be looking to recruit a diverse, motivated team of volunteers to lead this trip.
Join the UK Contingent webinar for a presentation and Q&A with Scouts volunteers who have worked on previous international UK Contingents to world scouting events - and loved it! This is your chance to find out what it's like to be on the Contingent Management & Support Team (CMT/CMST) for a World Scout Jamboree, so you can decide if the opportunity is for you.
Come and hear from panelists such as Caroline Pearce, who led the UK Contingent to the World Scout Jamboree in North America in 2019, and from members of her team who did various planning roles. You can then ask any (serious or silly) questions that spring to mind, such as:
"How did you pick the jamboree mascot?"
or "How much £££ does this cost? How did you fundraise for this?"
or "Are you all still in touch? Was it easy to make friends on the team?"
or "How easy/hard is it to get selected?"
The UK Contingent welcomes volunteers from all walks of life, even if you are brand new to scouting. A world jamboree trip is an incredible thing to be part of, and we'd love to have someone like *you* on the next incredible planning team.

LINCSFEST is a weekend created by volunteers, for volunteers, bringing together people from across the county for a chance to learn new skills, be inspired, try something different, and celebrate everything that makes Scouting amazing. Whether you're looking to develop your skills, discover new ideas to take back to your section, try out activities your young people love, or simply spend time with fellow volunteers, LINCSFEST 2026 has something for you. Expect a weekend packed with: Inspiring talks and seminars Exciting activities and challenges New skills and ideas to take back with you Opportunities to connect, share, and belong Event Cost £10 – Lincolnshire Scouts members £15 – Non-Lincolnshire Scouts members Participant bookings are now OPEN! Whether you're booking just yourself or a group of volunteers, everyone should use the same online booking system. https://bookings.lincolnshirescouts.org.uk/lincsfest Individuals are very welcome to book themselves on, so don't worry if you're not booking as part of a group. Staff bookings will be released at a later date. If you're volunteering as part of the LINCSFEST staff team, your line manager or LINCSFEST contact will send you the staff booking link directly.
