Scouts of the World Award (SOWA) – Discovery Event

On the 17th, 18th and 25th July 2020, Lincolnshire Scouts are holding a virtual Scouts of the World Award Discovery event. This event is open to Scout Network members from across Lincolnshire.
Please Note: We have adopted the guidance from UKHQ allowing Scout Network members until their 26th birthday to complete the top awards (SOWA, QSA and Explorer Belt) due to the current restrictions caused by Coronavirus.

All sessions will be run through Zoom, so you will need access to the internet for the duration of the sessions as listed below;
  • Friday 17th July 19:30 - 21:30
  • Saturday 18th July 09:00 - 16:15
  • Saturday 25th July 09:30 - 13:45
If you rely on mobile data or have a capped download limit and attending these sessions could exceed these, please get in touch with programme@lincolnshirescouts.org.uk.

Throughout the event, you will learn about the Sustainable Development Goals and how you can complete your own 80-hour project to earn you the Scouts of the World Award.
To register for the Scouts of the World Award, Network members must have attended a Discovery event of 14 hours.

There is no cost for the Discovery event but places are limited

Book Online
(If, after booking, you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket to allow someone else to benefit from the place).
