Congratulations Andrew!

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Wright as the new District Lead Volunteer for Skegness and Spilsby District.

Andrew brings a strong background in data analysis, community leadership and local volunteering. He has a long record of community involvement, including nearly eight years as a Spilsby Town Councillor, where he also chaired the Finance Committee overseeing the council’s budget. Within Scouting he currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees for 2nd Spilsby Scout Group, supporting the development of local Scouting and opportunities for young people. Andrew is also the founder of the community website Spilsby Online and is undertaking a part-time PhD examining the role of Scouting in supporting rural young people’s transition to higher education.

Professionally he works at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln as a Planning Officer (Analytics & Intelligence), where he leads recruitment and retention insight and develops dashboards and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Andrew will be supported by Malc Moore who is currently covering the role. I look forward to working with Andrew as he develops the District.
