Activity courses and non-permitted activities.
We are looking to build and share online lists of individuals who have been on courses and have national accreditation for activities which are not permitted and listed on the new system. If you own a qualification or have completed a course for one of these activities e.g Tomahawk throwing, air rifles, indoor caving at Sudbrooke please could you send an email with either a certificate or something similar with renewal dates to Carolyn.greig@lincolnshirescouts.org.uk
Thank you.
Call for volunteers
If anyone would like to be involved in working with the new cave trailer which was used at the Lincolnshire countryside show, please get in touch with Neil Onyon, or Carolyn Greig for more information. It’s a really exciting opportunity and we had lots of young people and adults try it out at the showground in April.
Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
Just a reminder that all D of E expeditions need to have an expedition number which is issued by the County D of E advisors. In order to issue a number the advisors need to see the route cards, risk assessment and contingency plans for foul weather for each group as well as supervisor and assessor provision. A form is available to submit this information via the Lincolnshire website. Please contact them via DofE@lincolnshirescouts.org.uk if you have any additional questions.
Programme team Thank you!
A huge thank you to all the volunteers who have been involved in programme weekends for Young Leaders recently as well as all the D of E leaders and activity staff who are making sure that all our activities within Lincolnshire are safe and our contingency plans are robust should they need to be tested. We appreciate all the time that is dedicated to protecting the safety of our young people across the county and training the next generation of scouters.
