World Scout Jamboree Leader Applications


The 26th World Scout Jamboree will take place in Gdansk, Poland from the 30 July to the 8 August 2027.


The 26th World Scout Jamboree Site is located on Wyspa Sobieszewska within the borders of the city of Gdansk, on the coast of the Baltic Sea in northern Poland. To participate as a Youth Participant, individuals must be between 14 and 17 years old at the time of the event. This means they should have been born between 30 July 2009 and 30 July 2013.


Lincolnshire Scouts have been allocated 1 unit for the World Scout Jamboree. We are therefore looking for 1 Unit Leader, 1 Deputy Leader and 2 Assistant Leaders within Lincolnshire.


Applications open for leaders on 1st May and close on 30th May – Please note application are via the HQ form which does not open until 1st May and will shut promptly on 30th May. Applications will then be passed to the County to select the successful applicants.


All applications will be required to attend a Selection Weekend on 21st–22nd June 2025. This event will be an opportunity for you to tell and show us more about you, why you would like to take on a leadership role at the Jamboree, find out more about how your skills and experiences (in and out of Scouting) would support you to be a great member of the leadership team.


When you apply, please make sure you read and complete the application form carefully. We anticipate a large number of applications, and we will use what you write in your application form as the basis on which to make a decision about inviting you to the selection event.

Adam Jacklin will be stepping down from his role as District Lead Volunteer for Sleaford District on 4 November 2025. As Adam prepares to step down as District Lead Volunteer for Sleaford this November, I would like to take the opportunity to offer my thanks for the energy, dedication, and leadership he has brought to the role. Adam has been a driving force behind many positive developments within the District, always bringing a thoughtful and steady approach to everything he does. Throughout his term, Adam has consistently put young people at the centre of our work. His collaborative style has helped build strong teams and foster a real sense of community among our volunteers. Whether supporting events, shaping strategy, or mentoring others, Adam has been generous with his time and tireless in his commitment to the values of Scouting. While Adam is stepping back from the DLV role, I know his involvement with the District and County will continue. I look forward to seeing the next chapter of his Scouting journey and extend our warmest thanks for the significant contribution he has made over the years. We are looking a new District Lead Volunteer roles for Sleaford District. As a result we are now recruiting for its next inspirational volunteer (or team of volunteers) to lead Sleaford District. Module 10 First Response An opportunity to complete your Module 10- First Aid. During the day, you will complete your First Aid training, meaning you'll have all the skills and knowledge to manage an incident and cover basic First Aid. This is a county-run event, but taking place locally, so if you need to complete your first response training soon, now is the ideal opportunity!
