If you have an interest in International Scouting then you have come to the right place.

International 2019 is a series of 4 events taking place for anybody that will be an Explorer in the Summer of 2019.  This means you need to be born between the 22nd July 2001 and 21st July 2005.

Here are the 4 events and some detail about each one;

World Scout Jamboree

This event will take place at the Betchel Summit Reserve in West Virginia, USA. The Jamboree is jointly hosted by Mexico, Canada and the USA so you can expect plenty of different activities and culture. There will be 50,000 people on site for 10 days, plus some experiences for the UK contingent either side of the main event. We are waiting for these to be announced. KISC is the Kandersteg International Scout Centre located in the village of Kandersteg in the Swiss Alps. Nestled amongst the Alpine mountains the centre offers many amazing activities, such as climbing, river tubing, sleding and hiking as well as opportunities to learn about cheese and chocolate production and visit Swiss cities. Hundreds of Scouts from all over the world visit the centre through the summer and you could join them.

You will get to plan your own adventure. The leaders will support you choosing your programme so you get to take part in the activities and visits that interest you.

A small group of friends, leaders to support you, and a rail pass for the whole of Europe! You’ll decide when to travel, what to see and where to stay. This is your chance to plan an adventure around the countries and sites you have always wanted to visit, and to get off the beaten track and discover the hidden gems that Europe has to offer.

Czech Republic Activity Week

Camping in the centre of a resort in Lipno Nad Vltavou, in South Bohemia, you will have the chance to skate, sail, raft, hike, play crazy golf, downhill sled and visit UNESCO world heritage town as you plan a fun filled activity week with support from the trip leaders. There will also be an option to visit Prague and explorer the historic sites to finish off the trip in style.

All of these trips are open to everybody, we have not put costs on them as we don’t want to discourage people. Fundraising is as much a part of the experience as going abroad and we will support anybody who needs it to ensure they don’t miss out.

There will be a selection event over the weekend of 18th and 19th November. When you register below you will be asked to choose the trips in order of preference. There are limited spaces for the Jamboree and some of the other trips so you may not be selected for your first choice of trip but we aim to offer everybody a place on one of the adventures.

The selection event won’t be looking for the person with the most badges, or the ‘best’ member, it will be a series of activities and challenges so we can work out who would be best suited for which trip.

Most importantly the selection weekend will be free to anybody interested in these trips!

To register you will need to click the relevant link below and submit some personal details along with your trip preferences. Your information will be stored securely and only be used for Scouting purposes, we won’t share it with anybody else.
