County Annual General Meeting - Sleaford

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2018

The Annual General Meeting of the Lincolnshire County Scout Council will take place in the same venue as last year - the Sleaford New Life Conference and Events Centre, Mareham Lane, Sleaford, NG34 7JP on Friday 21st September 2018, 7.30 pm for 7.45pm. All are invited to attend.

Nominations are invited for the following positions. These nominations should reach the County Secretary before 1st September 2018 in writing or via email
a.  County Treasurer
b.  Lincolnshire County Scout Executive Committee members for 2018/19
c.  Youth representatives (18 - 25 years of age) to the Lincolnshire County Scout Executive Committee for 2018/19

May I remind you that nominees for the County Executive Committee do not have to be current members of the Scout Association; however as Executive members they will be Trustees of the County and must be willing to take Associate Scout membership (or full membership), complete a DBS and sign a Trustee form.
They should also be willing to take on specific roles to assist the County Chair, and the County Executive Committee. As a member of the Executive, in addition to the 4/5 Executive meetings per annum, nominees should be prepared to sit on one of the sub-committees that the County Executive are responsible for.        Self nomination is not acceptable.

If the number of nominations for Executive Members exceeds the places available, voting papers will be circulated, prior to the meeting, to those who hold roles that give them the right to vote, as per POR.

The formal agenda and minutes of the 2017 AGM will be circulated at the meeting.

Our speaker this year will be Mrs Alex Pearce Gadsby, Chief Commissioner for Middle England.

Tea/coffee will be available prior to the meeting.

Any business items that you wish to raise MUST be notified to Mrs Shirley Burt, County Secretary, in writing, at least 48 hours before the meeting.

Finally, to assist with catering and seating arrangements, please book with the County Office before 10th September. Please state any dietary requirements when booking in.
