Boston District Scouts is a charitable organisation offering fun, friendship and more to young people aged 6 to 25 and we have 9 growing Scout Groups in our District from Sibsey to Kirton and Butterwick to Swineshead. We also have very active Explorers and the Network and SASU are just starting.

1st Boston Sea Scouts

1st has its own HQ on the bank of the River Witham. It also has its own dock for launching boats. The hall has a hall and kitchen and small meeting room plus showers for use after being on the river. Catering for all 3 sections it is a lively group and offers canoeing to other groups in and out of District.

3rd Boston (Fishtoft)

Our group has its own headquarters and one acre grass activity field on Gaysfield Road, Fishtoft. In the Headquarters we have a large hall and kitchen, together with smaller rooms for each section. We cater for all 3 sections.

Although we are not a church group we do support the village church of St Guthlac's by attending various services there throughout the year.

Young people in all sections have the opportunity to experience a residential event at least twice each year and we also have a Group Camp for all sections at our Headquarters in the autumn.

4th Boston (Kirton)

We meet throughout the year at the Youth Centre in the centre of the village. We enjoy a wide and varied programme of actvities for boys and girls aged 5 3/4 to 14 years of age. We have all 3 sections here at Kirton. The Scout Group is proud of where we are from, and the opportunities and activities that we provide for children in Kirton, and the surrounding areas including Kirton Holme, Frampton, Sutterton, Swineshead, Donington, Quadring and Fosdyke.​

5th Boston (St Botolphs)

5th has its own hall on Castle Street, with a grassed area ideal for small camps. There is a large hall and a kitchen and an accessible toilet has been added.  We cater for all 3 sections.

6th Boston

6th meet at Sibsey Northlands and are one of our most rural groups. Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are catered for.

7th Boston

Beavers and Cubs meet in Swineshead Church Hall, while the Scouts meet in the Village Hall.

8th Boston (Wyberton)

We meet on Tytton Lane East (adjacent to the A16). We cover all 3 sections and our claim to fame is that our minibus has been signed by Chief Scout Bear Grylls!

10th Boston (North Rural)

The Group runs Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and has just moved to a new location at Leverton (from Butterwick). The group welcomes new members to come along and join in the fun and make new friends. We take part in many community activities and hold a Gala Fun Day in the summer as a fundraiser. We have many camps and outing during the years along with Taster Days during the holidays.

11th Boston (Zion)

We meet in a church hall and cater for all 3 sections. We love to get out hiking and camping.

We have 3 Explorer Units in Boston District, Central, Witham and Wyberton. They operate independently from each other but get together regularly to do joint events. Explorers in Boston has seen a large increase in numbers over the past couple of years.

Network was reborn in the District late in 2014. Member numbers are climbing (although we do suffer with people off at college/working etc the same as everyone else). We have a core group of around 8 who meet regularly and hope to be getting involved in some projects soon.

SASU is operational in District and holds a camp each year at the Woodhall Campsite.

Boston operate a campsite at Woodhall Spa which is a busy little site with toilet block and small cabin with kitchen. There are several camping areas in the woods and a site ideal for bivvying. The campsite is open to all groups in and out of scouting.
