Responsible to: County Commissioner

Outline:
Our volunteer journey is vital to the success of scouting within our County and this senior role is key to making it plain and simple. Therefore, excellent communication skills are required, with a key motivation focus on supporting leaders. This is a dual role; as recruitment of quality adult volunteers is important as is growth in membership, and the external community perception of scouting is imperative to our future. Therefore, an experience in marketing perception is important.

As Deputy County Commissioner you will be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team, working in collaboration to develop an overall strategy to grow the opportunity of scouting across the County.

Responsible for:
Welfare Adults Volunteers
Community Perception and Impact
Development co-ordination
Marketing Manager
County Training Manager and Training Team
Complaints – supported by County Appointment Advisory Board (if necessary).
Additional Needs Team
County Scouters
Other Key Projects from time to time

Other Areas of Leadership Support will include:
Attend:
            Senior Leadership Team Meetings
            District Commissioner Meetings (County Team)
            Deputy County Commissioner, their own Team Meetings
            Regional Meetings as and when
            Deputise for the County Commissioner, and other Senior Leadership Team Members.
